Although students are cautioned that extra credit is neither meant to be a substitute for regular work nor make a failing grade zoom to an "A," there is always extra credit available in all appropraite subject areas. For the teacher, extra credit is a good indicator of student effort. For the student, it offers additional opportunities to learn...besides those helpful extra points! Here's a quick reference chart showing what extra credit is normally available throughout the year:

Note: There is a 60 pt. limit on extra credit per subject, per grading period.

Note: It does not make sense to do extra credit when assignments are missing. First, get your work caught up...then, do extra credit.
