 Who We Are

Sierra-Diablo Matchcover Club started in 1983 when a small group of collectors in the Sacramento-San Francisco region gathered together and founded their own club. Today, it has grown to become one of the largest regional clubs in North America, and the only club that is all electronic, and has no dues. Membership is free.

 What We Do

Originally, on a local level, Sierra-Diablo brough together matchcover collectors in its area for good-hearted camaraderie, joint hobby ventures, lots of shop talk, and plenty of good trading and swapping. Collectors exchange information, compare notes, and help each other with their special needs. Looking for Beer covers, Sports covers, Movie Stars? Years ago, however, local meetings were discontinued due to logistical concerns. It turned out that we did just fine without meetings! Today, we work to aid collectors in their collecting goals in a number of ways, of which our bulletin is the most important.

Our Bulletin

On a national and international level, Sierra-Diablo gathers and disseminates collecting information and news throughout the continent and the world at large. Our monthly bulletin has been recognized as the best regional publication in the hobby, and it's digital and in full-color! The bulletin is what really ties together our diversified membership. It covers local, regional, and national goings-on within the hobby. Written for the novice and veteran collector alike, it's the most informative bulletin in the hobby. It's also the only bulletin that's monthly...and it's the biggest! (240 pp. annually)

Our Web Site

It's not fancy...but it's good! And, it offers you assistance in several ways: historical, technical, and social hobby information that is designed to aid you in your collecting efforts; pick the brains of veteran collectors to help solve those puzzling questions that pop up from time to time; keep abreast of upcoming hobby events; and more.

Sierra-Diablo is the only regional club that archives its bulletins on line. Recently joined the hobby? You haven't necessarily missed out on all that's gone before. 40+ years of bulletins are available for your perusal.

Want information on your favorite categories? Look up the categories in our Bulletin Index, and you'll be able to see which bulletins contain relevant information. Then, just access those bulletins in the Bulletin Archives.

Sierra-Diablo is also the only club that has its membership roster (password-protected) on line.

Sierra-Diablo also supports the annual RMS convention (held in rotating cities around the US and Canada).
